Rick has started recording a Gospel CD. This is a project that he has wanted to do for a long time. It will include some of Rick's original Gospel songs as well as some of his favorite Gospel songs. Keep checking in for an update on this project.

Representative Loranne Ausley, Chair of Whole Child Leon, The Lawton Chiles Foundation and The United Way of the Big Bend honored Rick and other musicians for their contribution to the "Catching Smiles" children's CD at the Chamber of the Florida House of Representatives in the State Capitol in Tallahassee January 30, 2008. The CD will benefit young children and child centered programs. The Yarra Valley FM 99.1 Radio Station in Melbourne Australia featured Rick's CD "These Country Blues" on The Rod Bradey Radio Program "Stone Cold Country" on November 28th, 2007.

Trooper Jim has started playing Ricks music on his Radio Shows. Be sure to tune in on Monday and Saturday evenings for some good entertainment and classic country.

Rick will be playing on October 27 at the Perry Opry. Country music legend Charlie McCoy and Encore Band will also be playing earlier in the day .Times for his event is 7:00pm. This event can be heard live on WPRY.com

"I Love My Ducky" has been chosen to be on the
" Catching Smiles" CD.
This CD was developed for Whole Child Leon Project which offers childrens services along with the United Way and The Lawton Chiles Foundation . All proceeds from the sale of CD will go to providing services to children.The CD is scheduled for release on November 16th. Rick wrote this song for his oldest daughter Lorraine who always carried her stuffed ducky everywhere she went.

On October 11, 2007 Rick will be attending a special event sponsored by the American Cancer Society to recognize everyone for their support of the American Cancer Society Fundraising events.This includes the Cattle Barons' Ball which Rick has played for the last 5 years this will be his 6th year playing for this event. He has also donated playing time for several local counties Relay for Life Events.

Rick's New CD "These Country Blues" has been featured on WPRY 1400 in Perry , Florida and is still recieving air play. Rick was interviewed by WPRY in August about the release of theCD.http://www.wpry.com

Rick has again been asked to play at the" Cattle Barons' Ball " Demin and Diamond Gala. This will be the 6th year that Rick has played for the major fundraiser in Leon County , Florida for the American Cancer Society. Ricks friends "The Encore Band" will be playing with him.
